Legendary Canadian artist and naturalist Robert Bateman has spent a lifetime painting the natural world and the fascinating animals that inhabit it. Formerly known as the Robert Bateman Centre, the Bateman Gallery houses the largest permanent collection of his work, as well as a rotation of nature-inspired exhibitions. The Bateman Gallery inspires people of all ages to connect with the natural world through exciting exhibits, kids’ activities and guided tours. Come and enjoy the vivid colours, textures and stories of the artwork in a peaceful gallery setting overlooking Victoria’s inner harbour, with a Gallery Gift Shop on the ground floor that offers exclusive signed Robert Bateman prints and merchandise, hand-picked crafts by local artisans and unique, nature-inspired souvenirs.
