Malahat SkyWalk is opening July 2021 as the newest outdoor experience providing the ultimate natural high on Vancouver Island – located 35 minutes north of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Accessible by all ages and wheelchair-friendly, it will immerse visitors in nature as they embark on a 600 metre-long elevated walkway through an expansive Arbutus and Douglas Fir forest, leading to a 10-storey, architecturally-inspiring spiral tower lookout – the first of its kind in B.C. Rising 250 metres above sea level, guests will enjoy 360-degree views of islands, inlets, fjords, forests, and mountains in two countries.
An adventure net suspended partially across the centre of the Spiral Tower provides daring guests with another breathtaking perspective on the spiraling structure below before returning to ground level with an option to take an exhilarating ride down a 20 metre (65 ft) spiral slide. Guests will find a deeper connection to nature learning about the trees, birds, animals, and marine life of this coastal region unique to B.C. Malahat SkyWalk is located on the traditional territory of the Malahat Nation and their Indigenous stories are also embedded throughout the experience.
